Renowned for their talented stylists and gifted color experts, Fresh Hair Studio isn't afraid to share their secrets! In the fall of 2004, owners Deborah Gavin, and Laurie Haney announced they were making their top-notch in-house education programs open to other salon professionals. Once a month on Sunday and Monday, entry-level and experienced stylists can take part in full-day or two-day seminars from the experts at Fresh and representatives from Goldwell Cosmetics. With one instructor for every five students, participants enjoy individual attention and personal interaction.

Graduates of each Fresh, The Academy program receive a certification for their work along with their newfound skills. All seminars have been tested on Fresh Hair Studio's own staff and refined according to their feedback and suggestions. The intricately planned layout of Fresh has produced a teaching space that perfectly accommodates interaction and communal education.

Junior Level Programs

For entry-level stylists and assistants, Fresh offers a "Blow Drying Boot Camp," where various finishing techniques are demonstrated and mastered. This class is invaluable for shaping their skills, as junior associates are often expected to blow out and finish the cuts and styles of senior stylists. In fact many times, it is these seasoned stylists that send their counterparts to these programs, recognizing that their work contributes to a client's happiness. Fresh provides practical advice to fledging stylists. They emphasize the importance of defining the environment that fits each individual's personality, before building a client book at a temporary location, as well as other tips for succeeding in the competitive industry.

Senior Level Programs

Equally important are seminars geared toward experienced professionals who realize the importance of continuing their education and embracing new and varied techniques. "Color Placement" and "Advanced Hair-Cutting" tutorials are available, as well as classes in intricate processes, such as Great Lengths hair extensions. These classes are taught by industry experts, including Gavin, Haney, and Fresh senior stylists, many of whom are Goldwell educators. Receptionist Training Fresh believes that each staff member is vital to a more cohesive, enjoyable experience. Because the receptionist is often the first and last person a client interacts with, and the person responsible for scheduling appointments, Fresh developed a Receptionist training program.
